Colonial Affair (1990) and Sur La Tete (1998) are two of the Classic Winners that Rutledge Farm has bred.

Interesting to note is that these two champions set records in Classic races, but at the same track -- Belmont Park.

Colonial Affair's Belmont history making victory established his jockey as the first female jockey to win a Classic stakes race. Sur La Tete's triumph established a blistering new track record time.

Classic Winners - Multiple Legs of two different Triple Crowns

Colonial Affair's 1993 winning of the Belmont Stakes was the third leg of thoroughbred flat racing's Triple Crown (Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes).

Sur La Tete's 2004 winning of the Georgia Cup and the Meadow Brook Stakes were the first and third legs of Steeplechasing's 2004 Triple Crown. (Georgia Cup, National Hunt Cup, Meadow Brook Stakes).

  NOTE:

Prior to 2004, the Steeplechasing Triple Crown consisted of different races than it does now.
