| The MEADOW BROOK Steeplechase was
inaugurated in 1999. It is the third leg of the Steeplechase
Triple Crown, which also includes races at Churchill Downs and
Pimlico. The Meadowbrook State Parkway is a major highway in
Long Island’s Nassau County. It runs from the Northern State
Parkway to Jones Beach on the south shore. Run at 2 1/4 miles
in 1999, and again in 2001. Run at 2 1/2 miles in
